No. For starters, there are many different programs, some allow only 3% down, some 5% down. Also, in our market there are some houses for sale that have assumable mortgage where the interest rates are significantly lower than rates available today.
The main ongoing cost are things like HOA, Taxes, Insurance, Repair and Maintenance, Systems replacement- think furnace, hot water heater, flooring etc.
